SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS
WIRE)—Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing management
software developer and provider for visibility, control,
and coordination of manufacturing operations for the electronics,
life sciences, and semiconductor industries, announced today
that Dimatix, Inc., the leading MEMS developer and manufacturer
of piezoelectric ink-jet printheads and related consumables,
has gone live with Eyelit's Manufacturing Software.
Dimatix saw a dramatic reduction in both their R &
D and production cycle-times shortly after the implementation
of Eyelit's manufacturing solution. Cycle-time, a critical
measure for Dimatix, has a direct impact on the bottom line
and on Dimatix's ability to quickly verify cause and effects
of design changes. By improving this ability to move design
changes into volume production sooner, Dimatix is now able
bring products to market faster.
Now with a view into historical processing data, Dimatix
is able to quickly analyze wafer fab processing data for
process characterization and optimization. This translates
to improved process stability and yield improvement. In
addition, Dimatix can take completed assembly modules and
correlate results back to specific events in the wafer fabrication
process. This is critical for any combined wafer fab and
Eyelit's solution was implemented in just four weeks. In
this short period, operators were tracking production lots
in Eyelit Manufacturing™, and realizing substantial gains
in overall efficiency. The implemented Eyelit Manufacturing™
solution includes the MES, Equipment Tracking, SPC (Statistical
Process Control), KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and
"We are very pleased by the results we have achieved
with Eyelit's solution. The cycle-time improvements alone
are very exciting. We could not have scaled production without
an MES because of the inherent complexity in our processes.
We now have visibility into our many complex processes,"
stated Ross Stovall, Director of Wafer Operations for Dimatix,
"These measurable results speak for themselves. This
is a remarkable example of the benefits and value of Eyelit
Manufacturing™. By improving time to market and operational
efficiency, critical to today's high-tech companies, our
customers are improving their competitive positions and
bottom line. Eyelit has become the only vendor capable of
delivering such a broad solution in such a short period
of time. We can accomplish what typically takes competing
solutions years and millions of dollars in a fraction of
the time and cost. In the Dimatix example, our competitors
would still be defining the project scope. This is just
one of the benefits of an out-of-the-box application like
Eyelit Manufacturing," remarked Dan Estrada, Vice President of
Sales and Business Development for Eyelit.
